Horse and Hound Wine Festival 2021

Enjoy wine from some of Virginia’s finest wineries while listening to good music and visiting art, craft and food vendors. Virginia’s most unique wine festival has numerous events throughout the day with dogs as the primary attractions.

New changes for 2021!

We are trying a brand new, first of it's kind, format for the festival this year to help with Covid restrictions! We will no longer have a "Wine Tasting Ticket". What we will now offer is General Admission tickets, without wine tastings included. BUT we will be giving everyone with a GA ticket a festival glass (if over 21) and 10 "Doggie Dollars" that will be good for use at the festival that day! Each "Doggie Dollar" will be good for one of two things, $2 off ANY purchase at the Wineries or $1 off a $10 purchase at ANY vendor.

Peaks of Otter Winery will be offering Wine Tastings for $2 at the festival We hope all the other wineries will offer tastings at $2 each, but everyone gets to set their own prices. A "Doggie Dollar" may be redeemed for $2 off any purchase of merchandise or anything the wineries have for sale, including these $2 tastings. If you use all of your "Doggie Dollars" up, you can still taste wines at the wineries by paying for the tastings. All tastings fees must be paid by you to the wineries under this festival model, since they are not included with your gate ticket.

The theory is that this should help limit crowds and lines at tasting booths, while still allowing you the option to taste everything at the festival at least once, if you wish! and still have some "Doggie Dollars" leftover to use at the food and craft vendors and wineries! And if your a nondrinker or designated driver (Thank You DDs!) you will be able to use them at any of the many vendors at the festival!

Our goal for this year is to be as "Covid Friendly" as possible and we are trying to mitigate any risks we can foresee.

So buy a general admission ticket for $20 and get up to $20 in savings while you are at the festival!! This is a deal that's hard to beat!

Part of the proceeds will benefit 501-3c organizations that benefit horses and dogs and are  All-American Mutt Rescue, Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue and Commonwealth Search & Rescue and The National D-Day Memorial
